Use the same small test in each player.
- Open one familiar local video. Compare the correct aspect ratio, audio and subtitle behavior.
- Open a stereo photo. Check packing, eye order, thumbnail recognition and placement.
- Try your actual source. Local playback does not establish NAS, USB or server compatibility.
- Check comfort and controls. Find play, pause, screen distance and return-to-library without searching through every setting.
A high frame-rate source does not make a headset display at that rate. Demanding files, experimental disc formats and network playback need their own checks.
